Story

"Angry Mister" is a juking blues tunes with a couple churchy Spyder Blue a cappella choruses. Although when written the lyric was inspired by the scourge of bloviating hypocrites in the pulpit, it can be heard as frustration with any person who feels the need to spew ignorance as an alternative to poetry or contemplation.

Spyder Blue was lucky to have the late, great Dave McKelvy sit in on harmonica for the recording. Check out Dave on You Tube sometime. The recording and producing was done by Simple Roger Studios (the amazing Larry Treadwell)on the ears and knobs.

Lyrics

angry mister

i don’t care for small talk

i don’t wanna know what’s queer

i don’t care about anything that you said right here

you’re crazy and you’re bungled

creaking wood on a twisted pier

i’d call you angry mister

but you ain’t angry you’re just scared

i don’t care for expla-

nations that you have

i don’t wanna argue if it only makes you mad

you’re lost and you’re defeated

drifting course on a burning raft

i’d call you angry mister

   half the time your words

don’t touch the light of day

deep down you think that all is lost

if you can’t have your way

you’re righteous and you’re ugly

slinging mud in your sunday prayers

i’d call you angry mister

i don’t care for hard sell

i don’t wanna know what’s best

i don’t care about half the crap

you think i might’ve missed

you’re load and you’re oppressive

roaring wind in a paper bag

i’d call you angry mister

   half the time your words

don’t touch the light of day

deep down you think that all is lost

if you can’t have your way

you’re crazy and you’re bungled

creaking wood on a twisted pier

i’d call you angry mister

but you ain’t angry you’re just scared
